May you be experiencing great victories today and beyond.
Most of you are coming to the close of the '1 John' Living Network cell open bible study.
We will close this year with an emphasis on unpacking and applying the Sunday sermon for Nov and Dec. Once the 1John is completed, the sermon discussion will start.
Cells will officially stop in the middle of Dec to give way to the last stage of the Christmas preparations and final rehearsals.
How do we make a sermon more impactful? We generally forget 70% of the message once we get into our vehicles and drive off from the church grounds. By the third day, 90% is forgotten.
One of the best ways to improve retention and more importantly to see transformation in the lives of the members is to do a cell discussion on the Sunday sermon. It is proven that this is a MOST effective way to help members remember and obey the Word delivered.
So here's what you have to do...
1. Listen attentively and take down notes on Sunday.
2. At the cell - shepherds will guide the members to remember what was preached on that Sunday. They will not RE-PREACH the Sunday sermon, but draw out the points from you.
3. Members ask questions on areas they don't understand.
4. Take action steps on how you can obey the word.
5. Reports- members report on their previous week's intentions. Share your successes and difficulties in applying the sermon over the previous week.
6. Pray for each other, church and nation.
I pray for you and your cell members to experience wonderful uplifting discussions as you share life, food and fellowship.
Have fun in your cell.
Blessings
PAris
